With over a decade of experience in engineering, sustainability, and climate policy, I’ve led transformative projects that advance energy efficiency, clean energy transitions, and climate resilience across Canada and the Middle East. At the United Nations, I managed a $13 million regional project to combat sand and dust storms, served as UN-Habitat’s focal point for Environment, Energy, and Climate Change in Iraq, and led the Kuwait Energy Outlook at UNDP, shaping national strategies for decarbonization. In Canada, my work at Natural Resources Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada supported the country’s 2050 Net-Zero goals through the development of building codes, benchmarking systems, and clean electricity regulations. Now pursuing a PhD at the University of Waterloo, my research bridges engineering, data, and sustainability to develop innovative, data-driven solutions that accelerate global climate action.
